Abstract Submission Guidelines for MICROCON 2026 Scientific presentations
MICROCON 2026 invites abstracts for oral and poster presentations to showcase original research in the field of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases in the following categories:

1. Bacteriology
2. Mycobacteriology
3. Mycology
4. Virology
5. Parasitology
6. Healthcare associated infection and control
7. Immunology
8. Serology
9. Molecular Diagnostics
10. Others

Instructions for Abstract Submission for Free Oral/ Poster Presentations

Abstract submission deadline: 31st August 2026. No abstracts will be accepted after this date.
One person can submit upto 2 abstracts out of which, one can be an IAMM Awards category abstract and one from the Oral / Poster category.
It is MANDATORY for presenting author to be registered for MICROCON 2026.
Please note that by submitting the abstract you consent to the fact that your abstract may be published in IGMM.
The application requires the presenting author to submit their MICROCON 2026 registration ticket number received on their email.
The abstracts must be original work of the presenting author and should not have been published at any conference proceedings/ journal before.
All abstract submissions have to be made only in online mode in the box provided at the end of the page.
Mention the category and the preference of Oral/ Poster presentation.
Confirmatory email will be sent after submission. Confirmatory mail does not mean acceptance.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the MICROCON 2026 scientific committee and the committee holds the right to accept/reject or to consider an abstract either for oral or poster presentation. The decision of the MICROCON 2026 Scientific committee shall be final.
Abstract acceptance will be sent later after the scientific committee has approved the abstract for presentation.
Certificates will be given ONLY to the Presenting Author.
Submit the name, institutional affiliation and contact information of the presenting as well as the co-authors.
Please ensure the email address and mobile number of the presenting author is correct, as this will be the only method of communication regarding acceptance.
Abstracts once submitted cannot be edited.
Follow the prescribed proforma for submitting abstracts. No separate attachment or pdf files will be accepted.

Preparing abstract:

Prepare your abstract in word format using Times New Roman, then copy paste in the box provided.
No graphics, images or tables should be used in the abstract.
The abstract should not have any details of institute/author affiliation for impartial review.
Word Limit: 300 words for the abstract body (excluding the title)
Title: Must be written in CAPITAL & BOLD letters using Times New Roman font of size 14.
Abstract body: Use lowercase in Times New Roman font of size 12. Abstract should be written in following headings:
Introduction: Indicate the purpose and objective of the research, the research hypothesis or/and a description of the problem being analysed or evaluated.
Material & Methods: Describe the study period, setting and location, study design, study population, data collection and methods of analysis used.
Results: Summarize any specific results, outcomes and key findings clearly.
Conclusion: Explain the significance of your findings and/or outcomes of the stud, and future implications of the results.
